If you would be interested in a free stall in the marketplace please don't hesitate to contact me on jenny@jennysis.com.  I am looking for 5 crafts people who would like to showcase 5 of their items in their own mini shop and best of all it will be free!!!!

Big creative hugs to one and all and hope you like my site!  If you are after anything in particular then don't hesitate to give me a shout, there is so much I have yet to put in my shop!

Week round up

I know I have been a little remis this week, not that I haven't been crafting but I had planed to post at least a couple of tutorials a week and really not managed it this week.  Oh well, in  my defense I havan't been idle!  There has been lots on industrial crafting going on.

Here are a few things I have been making and having a go at.

Recycled keyrings.  I started making these little heart keyrings nearly a year ago and like so many things was left at the bottom of the creative ironing pile.  a little while ago I started creating upcycled and recycled Jewellery under the name ReJenisis.  Since having my little one however I ran out of time.  These are def an example of that.  Was so great to complete these and have already found new homes for them!  Each one is made from cardboard destined for the green bin, the beads were oddments left over from past commissions.

Here are a few recycled blanks ready to be made into necklaces and keyrings!

A new make for me was to have a go at these sweet little buttons, the patterns were paper scraps so fantastically recycled!  the tops are clear plastic buttons.  This little batch of 6 were my first attempt!

I have been having a play with my stamp maker this week and created my logo and  a few birds.  I have created a set of digi stamps (yet to be released) and these little birdies are part of it.

And last but not least!! Yes you guessed it! Another paper cut!  I thought I would give the alphabet a bash!  So far I have decided that the alphabet should only have one letter 'A'.

Have you all had a creative week?? What wonders have you been up to?

Plastic bag bunting

Yesterday I made some new bunting for my garden ... out of plastic carrier bags!  A while ago I started trading under ReJenisis.  The name, as unusual as it is, was meant to be a combination of Re for recycle and Jen as in my name.  I have been incredibly interested in creating something beautiful from something which would otherwise be thrown away.  Making bunting from plastic bags was something I developed and worked on for a while.  One thing I discovered, was that there are limits to the different coloured bags you can get with your shopping.  I was also finding that in order to get the bags I wanted that I would buy things I wouldn't necessary normally do just so that I could get the bag I wanted!  Now I supplement my creations with coloured bags I bought on a roll.  Although this means that my bunting isn't 100% recycled, it does mean that they are even more beautiful and I don't go wasting money just to get a bag I want!

So here it is, my lovely cheerful bunting.  I alternated rainbow colours with floral ones.  Hopefully you can see enough detail.

It is now hung in my garden, looking pretty, and in the case of such a dreary wet day today, it has certainly made the garden more cheerful!
